From "broc" to "Amandier
The name "broc" is a French word meaning "pitcher" in Minoru Hasegawa Lab.
As the first branch of the group, Chef Kashiwagi poured water on the seed Minoru Hasegawa had planted and named the restaurant "broc" with the hope that the seed would sprout.
And the restaurant sprouted.
This time, Amandier is a continuation of that story.
The seed becomes a sprout, and the sprout grows into a robust tree that, over a long period of time, accumulates many annual rings and solid growth, aiming to become a large tree that shakes the hearts of those who see it.
We named our new store "Amandier" (almond tree) in order to create such a tree.
In France, the almond tree is known as a symbol of "fertility," "happiness," and "prosperity" because it bears many fruits.
Strangely enough, however, it is said that almonds cannot be harvested from just one tree, but only when there are other trees around it that produce almonds.
Chef Kashiwagi has decided on this name in the hope that the tree will bear many fruits, and that it will become a large tree that will bear wonderful fruits for both customers and all other people involved.
We look forward to working with you in the new "Amandier".
