The chef, Bumpei Matsuo is the second generation owner of 「Sushidokoro Tsukuta」, located in Saga.
Newly opened Sushi Bumpei in Nishinakasu, Fukuoka in December 2024.
His father and master chef, Yuji Matsuo, was trained by Takeaki Niitsu of the legendary sushi restaurant “Kiyota” in Ginza, Tokyo.
In 1993, he took the character “Ta” from “Kiyota” and named his restaurant 「Sushidokoro Tsukuta」.
Bumpei Matsuo created his own unique worldview in Karatsu and learned the art of mastery under his master.
His high aspirations for sushi led him to hold a collaborative event at l'equateur in Motoazabu until he opened a restaurant in Fukuoka.
The event was a great success, visited by numerous gourmets.
Enjoy the nigiri of a young sushi chef who continues to pursue his own style of sushi in Nishinakasu, where many famous restaurants are located.
