Winter is the season for snow crab in Hokuriku. The best place to catch snow crab in Hokuriku is off the coast of Kaga Hashidate Port.

Traditionally, fishermen leave the harbor in small boats and return to the harbor without staying offshore to sell the freshly caught crabs immediately.
